With over a dozen years in principalship, my mission as a school leader is to always put students first. My belief is that all students can learn, and it is our job to support all of their needs. As educators, we need to discover how each child learns in order to differentiate our instruction to support diverse learning styles; all children are different. In a collaborative effort, we want students to thrive in all ways possible.

We set high expectations for all staff and students to ensure we not only maintain our outstanding academic results but we are continually striving to improve. Mont Albert Primary School staff are enthusiastic, highly professional educators and bring a wealth of knowledge and commitment to their crucial task of guiding students towards a fulfilling and productive seven years of primary education. High academic achievement is a direct result of the dedicated, professional teachers who constantly provide diverse, rich, engaging and outstanding educational programs within an environment which is caring, friendly, respective and responsive to the needs of our students.

As well as provision of rich, authentic, open-ended teaching and learning activities, a wide variety of opportunities are offered to students outside of the classroom. Students are encouraged to develop all of their abilities and interests through Physical Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Science, and Italian culture, along with numerous extra-curricular activities. One significant program is student leadership, whereby senior school students play a key role in supporting other students and representing the school.
Students at Mont Albert Primary School achieve outstanding results, and our multi-age LEARN groups (based on the school’s core ‘Learn, Endeavour, Aspire, Respect and Nurture’ values) promote a sense of belonging and reinforce our genuine concern for student wellbeing. As well as promoting student connectedness, this whole school buddies program enables students to make a seamless transition from one year level to another.
Our students are highly motivated and are also supported by committed parents and families. Parents are encouraged, at all times, to communicate with teachers and the school leaders on issues that are of interest or concern to them. As Principal, my door is always open to parents wishing to discuss their child's progress or anything at all related to the school. I welcome and encourage you to be involved as this is the best way to LEARN together about schooling today.
